Last year, Miguel Andujar stole the 3B job from Brandon Drury, who was on the IL with dizziness. This year, when Andujar went on the IL for a partially torn labrum, Gio Urshela stepped in to play 3rd–with tremendous success in the field and at the plate.

Here’s how Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone described Urshela’s fielding prowess in an article in today’s New York Post:

Boone said Urshela is so good defensively, he essentially “laughs at ground balls.’’
